Tell us a little about yourselves.
We are McKenzie and Hunter Lawson from Tennessee! We are high school sweethearts that got married on May 25, 2019. We have a sweet golden retriever named Knox, and two Birman cats, Nala and Noel! Hunter and I love to travel, spend time outdoors, watch movies and hang out with family! We knew when we got engaged that our dream honeymoon was to Bora Bora but never dreamed it would be a reality, yet here we are talking about our experience from visiting this gorgeous island!

What was your favorite memory from your honeymoon to Bora Bora?
This is hard to pick because we had such a relaxing time and many fond memories! If we must choose, we loved our sunset catamaran cruise around the island. The weather was perfect, the sunset was breathtaking, and the level of relaxation was out of this world! We also had the chance to spend some time in the spa as well as swimming around our overwater bungalow. We were blown away by the amount of diverse fish and sea creatures! I think we saw a different type of fish every day!

What are the can’t miss activities and experiences on Bora Bora?
Definitely take the time to snorkel and tour the islands! The beauty of what is under the vibrant blue water is incredible while cruising around the islands allows you to relax and take in the nature and beauty of what is above the water!
What’s one thing you didn’t do that you wish you had?
There were several culturally-related events that were supposed to occur that didn’t, I’m assuming due to it being off-season, however, just being around the people there offers so much culture itself that we didn’t feel we missed out!
What touches did your travel agent, Chris, add to your trip that made it a legendary vacation?

Chris made this stress-free from beginning to end! We were prepared with all of the paperwork that we needed to travel to and from. We had the sweetest treatment upon arrival with little extra touches and excursions incorporated into our trip that we probably wouldn’t have had without her! From beginning to end, we knew what to do and what to expect without question because of how thorough Chris was! When traveling out of the country to an island that we knew nothing about, Chris knew everything and was able to set us up for an elite honeymoon!
What one word comes to mind when you think about your vacation to Tahiti?
Relaxation.
What are your tips for people currently planning a honeymoon or trip to Tahiti?
Pack adapters for your electrical needs, check into what type of food they offer and prepare to relax, be present, and soak in all of the breathtaking views around you!
